ISTH Washington DC 2025

The Preston Lab group was very well represented at the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) 2025 Annual Conference in Washington DC.
Dr Aisling Rehill gave a great talk on fibrin as a novel mediator of trained immunity-associated myeloid cell hypercoagulability. Dr Rehill was also a recipient of this year’s ISTH Fundamental Research Career Development Grant and awarded the JTH 2025 Editors’ Award. She also co-led a Career Development Session titled “The attention-grabbing abstract: Tips from the experts”.
Dr Gemma Leon delivered an excellent talk on peripheral CD4+ T cell thrombogenicity in inflammatory bowel disease in the role of coagulation in organ specific injury session.
PhD scholars, David and Harry each presented posters relating to APC/PAR-1 signalling. David was selected to present his work in the moderated poster session.
